28 Feb Johnson & Johnson, Inc. Donates $25,000 To The SC Memorial Reef!
Johnson & Johnson, Inc., based in Mt. Pleasant, SC has contributed the single largest monetary donation by an individual or business in the history of the Reef effort!
The check was presented to the SC Memorial Reef committee this week and was presented by Fran Johnson, president of Johnson & Johnson to Steve Leasure, one of the original founders of the SC Memorial Reef effort.
The Johnson family is well known and respected in the Charleston sportsfishing community as ardent supporters of not only the sport, but in the preservation of the resource.
This exceptional gift to the SC Memorial Reef effort will ensure that our recreational offshore fishery remains viable for the many generations to come.
“Founded in 1930, Johnson & Johnson, a family owned and operated business, has the experience of the past with a vision for the future” … a business and family philosophy which speaks volumes to their efforts in supporting not only the Charleston sportsfishing community, but the state of South Carolina offshore recreational fishery as well.
“Johnson & Johnson employees volunteer. They put their heart and soul into improving the communities in which they live. Whether it’s participating in the United Way Day of Caring, Habitat for Humanity, holding food or clothing drives, serving on agency boards or volunteering for a local community organization – Johnson & Johnson and its employees are driving positive change in their communities“.
The SC Memorial Reef Committee wishes to thank Johnson & Johnson, Inc. for their unselfish commitment to the Reef effort and challenges those companies and individuals that share the same passion for community involvement and the preservation of our offshore resource to join in the effort.
Thank you Johnson & Johnson, Inc. and thank you to the entire Johnson family! The South Carolina Memorial Reef is honored by your support.
