From the loss of one of our own, the idea was born to create a special place of honor and reflection for the sport-fishing community. In addition to providing a permanent legacy for those who loved the ocean, the South Carolina Memorial Reef has built habitat for species of concern, attracted pelagic species and created great fishing opportunities off the state’s coast. We believe that is the best way that we can honor the beloved men and women below.
